Version 1.4 of Virtual Browser delivers more innovation |

Virtual Browser release 1.4 was introduced on February 10th, and it will be the last intermediate release before version 2.0. Key new features in version 1.4 include support for hardware authentication (USB tokens, smartcards) based on the PKCS#11 API; RADIUS support, facilitating OTP authentication; support of external PKI servers for certificate-based authentication; enhancements to the management of security policies for storage zones; and configuration backup and restore tools.

Microsoft facing a crisis with Internet Explorer vulnerabilities |

“We would love to put Internet Explorer 6.0 behind us, but we simply can’t. For an enterprise, deploying a new navigator is a huge job. As long as Microsoft offers support for Windows XP (up to 2014), Internet Explorer 6.0 will also be supported.” So says Bernard Ourghanlian, Director of Security for Microsoft France, responding to the latest vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. A position which provides perfect validation for the Virtual Browser solution.

French and German governments say “don’t use Internet Explorer” |

Following Microsoft’s announcement of a vulnerability affecting every release of Internet Explorer back to version 6.0, for the first time ever, official national IT security agencies have explicitly warned against using the product. Some two-thirds of internet users browse with IE, meaning the potential for damage is huge.
